Community Mediation & Restorative Services, Inc believes training is an effective strategy as we seek to develop the capacity of our community to respectfully resolve conflict and repair harm. We collaborate with other mediation and restorative parties to create more opportunities for people to participate in transformative, skill-building experiences.

The Healing Power of Dialogue

Join CMRS to celebrate our 35th Anniversary with dinner and “The Healing Power of Dialogue” presented by internationally renown speaker, Margaret Thorsborne. The event will be held at New Hope Cinema and Grill on August 6, 2018 from 5:30pm-8:30pm. All are welcome. The cost is $35 per person.  Since this is our Volunteer Appreciation Event this year, our CMRS volunteers are free.

Margaret Thorsborne is the Managing Director of Margaret Thorsborne & Associates & Thorsborne and Associates UK. She is committed to improving the way people relate to each other in their workplaces & other communities by providing processes that allow often
deeply negative feelings to be gradually transformed into cooperation. This commitment to healthy relationships can also be found in her work with schools to improve they way they work with young people in responding to wrongdoing, creating healthier and safer
communities – from Margaret Thorsborne & Associates.

CMRS directly and indirectly offers a variety of continuing education opportunities each year, including a 6-hour conference every Fall.
